DEALS DEALS DEALS

Will REI cagro bike be big enough for kid duty or am I gonna have to spring for a long tail?

The reviews mention using it with Thule Yepp etc without issues. I’ve been pondering getting one for kid duty but want to pull a trailer and I’m skeptical that there is enough room on that rear drop out to mount the hitch.

Why would anyone want to pull stuff with a cargo bike amirite

One of the answers from REI in the questions section, I think for the 1.2, recommends a Roberts axle part for someone asking about a trailer.

Test rode both today, probably picking the 1.2 tomorrow. They goaded us into a membership already but that’s fine, it’ll basically knock off the sales tax.

Anyone fuck with the stem and handlebars yet ? Thoughts about a more traditional rack attached to the fork crown and lower eyelets ?

id like to replace sup’s stem with something non-adjustable but :person_shrugging:

and nah it comes as a cycle struck so i see no need to change that. platform is low enough that it would rarely be a problem for large packages. there’s always the back rack too

membership is good for life too!

Looks plenty ditherable, only real restriction is the length of the display cable.

The rack also looks to have rear-facing water bottle mounts, but is only rated for 22 lbs.

I had no idea it was a one-and-done sort of thing! kicking myself for not joining sooner.

Stem joint is two cones torqued into an expanding gear. There’s enough steerer left for just about that stem. Either way, you’ll probs need a bonnar of some kind unless you’re tiny. Handlebars seem fine to me? The grips are surprisingly comfortable.

Would something like the VO Cigne work ? Just wanting to push the reach out a little bit and I think it would look better.

Cigne would definitely work

Dammit REI extended their big bike sale to 8/14

You guys are a bad influence. The rei deal was a gateway drug. I haven’t even received mine and I already bought a lightly used Radwagon4 for cheaps and am returning the coop.

Just a friendly reminder that the Radwagon 4 uses proprietary tires if you hadn’t figured that out yet

Yeah, I know. That was a consideration. It rides really well and I have a rad bikes near me in Seattle. Figured I would just stock up on a couple extra tires. In the eventual worst case scenario I could probably change wheel sizes since it’s disc or just pull off the parts and put them on a different bike since I got it for cheap. I also like the modularity and it came with most of the fixins

Are they a weird ETRTO? 22" BMX tires are pretty easy to find. They’re mostly 2.3", but available elsewhere.
