Not positive, but in some cases the highest real-person bidder will be offered first chance at buying the item at whatever their high bid was.
I think we got 3 (a dual and single) of them for about 10k. I think the fixed top and bottom to pallets.
Service manager was trying to get owner down to drive down and pick some stuff up, but probably won’t get it.

Covid happened, they got greedy about their value, sought investors to expand the company, tripled the size of the place and bought way too much stuff/hired too many people, then the boom died off and they couldn’t sell stuff off fast enough to keep the investors happy.
They’d been selling themselves as a “tech company” - which makes no sense for a used bike reseller.
Clearly the number of bike stands, work stations, refrigerators, and whathaveyou indicate that they were suddenly trying to operate like a start up after 15 years of having a sustainable business and that new lifestyle did not work out.

Watching the final bids on the EVT stands today and just noticing duplicate photos in most of the listings, including the numbers on the stickers on the bases. They might not have as many stands as listed. @alp if your partner wins a stand maybe they should pick it up asap.
huh, i wonder what’s up with that. my partner tapped out after bids got above $500-600. looks like some of that stuff is ending up at a good price point comparatively but over a bong on a bike stand was out of our budget

my guess is “it’s the same fucking thing, don’t waste time”. lazy but i’ve recently bought a lot of stuff from liquidating sales from businesses (albeit the remains of a business, listed by and sold by a municipality) and minimal picture taking/processing seems to be the norm. the city who posted the stuff didn’t know what was in which auction lol
