Just buy a Bosch
Waiting for a sale won’t help
See if you can find the guy near you that is clearing out showroom models. I paid $100 for my Miele brand new.
And mig’s right no sales on the good stuff. Mark up on a Bosch deal is like 23%
If you ride 30.9 or 31.6 it’s $141+tax delivered in the US with code blowout2024 from Worldwide
in case anyone didn’t get this email, the bedrock sale this year has several partner brands
Ooo sup needs a new dropper
Several cheap dyno completes, search for “nexus”, plus interesting IGH wheels, Enviolo CVT hubs, $27 Deore 5100 RDs, cheap Shimano chain.
We Are One is putting wheelsets on even greater sale, evidently. $1169 for I9 to their Triad rims.
(mixed wheel is also an option)
After I sell my stumpy evo frame, dropper and maybe fork, I’ll likely buy a set. But, still, hoops made in Kamloops, BC.
All of these checked in by yours truly. Some even dropped off by WeAreOne owner. PNW is weird.
i9 hubs without their weird pillar spokes?
Yup, they are j-bend. i9 only allows the system hubs to be laced to their own rims (the carbon ones are made by WeAreOne, just more expensive).
Hit me up if you do buy a set. I think I still have one of their volume knobs kicking around in my parts that would fit the hubs.
Cheap soma fog cutter if you’re tall. Cheap New Albion Privateer if you’re any size.
The New Albion looks like a nice crosscheck. I’m kinda tempted.
I’ve never not regretted selling my actual crosscheck.
There have been some reviews over the years. I’m tempted too but it’s $99 shipping here to DC. You could just drive to Peoria and pick it up I guess
If that new Albion could get to my door for under $300 I would. I need a winter bike with bigger than 35c clearance and that thing looks just about perfect to ride in the salt
I’d pay a hundred bucks to not have to drive to Peoria. It’s not a short drive.
I’d pay a hundred bucks to get out of Chicago for a day.
Maybe only like $17 if I’m not leaving Illinois though.
It’s also a shit hole but I’m biased because I grew up in Bloomington Normal and somehow Peoria still has the better airport
Edit:.oh damn they are actually in Springfield.
Home of the Lincoln library. Take your family on a history trip, then pick up bike parts
And you can take the train there, so no long drives are needed.
