Bought some in the 36 sizeway. I’ve been living the MTB pants life, lately.

How does that work? Like, shuttle runs, or are you pedaling for long distances?

As opposed to bib tights? I’m used to riding in rain pants with bib shorts underneath, so I guess I don’t mind doing some pedalling. I’m more gravity-oriented, but I’ll still do 45-60 min climbs.

Pants are nice when it’s cold and/or sloppy. You can just shuck them off and throw them in the pile of grimy clothes and you have clean legs!

Edit: But, I did get some windblocking bib tights last year for winter groad rides. I kinda feel like Winnie the Pooh when I have my jacket on, though.

but but but uniqlo airism? Also roughly $8 a pop? Always?

no. way better than uniqlo.

sometimes they have, sometimes they don’t. i only got 2 packs last time and that was a grievous error

This happens every six months on this forum - Uniqlo is better if you like a very lightweight boxer brief. I’ve had terrible luck with Ex Officio, the fabric quality is all over the place, and when they bunch, it feels like a wad of sandpaper tucked into the crease of the thigh.

Enjoying my airisms right now. Thanks tarck.

I am not a huge fan of the Ex Officio boxer briefs. Costco gets these Adidas tech undies that are a little cheaper and shartmo those are 90% as good as my fave UnderArmouroos at less than half the price

cotton underpants crue.

Basically the only underwear I wear now

One of the first things I did when I got my big-boy job was buy enough pairs to last me a while between laundering

my experience with the uniqlos is their fit is inconsistent and they don’t leave me feeling as fresh for as long as the exofficios.

ymmv, but it is a really good deal at $8/ea

Are the Uniqlo and exofficio pants all synthetic? I don’t really put on plastic underpants unless I’m doing an activity. Like hiking or riding all day in regular clothes. I’ve been really happy with the cotton/poly blend stuff I’ve gotten from target recently. I think they’re called Pair of Thieves. They just feel nicer for general daily stuff.

The Uniqlo ones feel like they should dissolve in water. They took a lot of getting used to and wool is still the best material.

All plastic, but they’re great since I’m basically riding to work or skating every single day. When I take the bus and aren’t doing anything else, that’s when I wear my cotton underwear

Yeah I’ve got like 2 days a month where I don’t think I’m going to develop a swamp ass and cotton is nice on those days

this. my ass feels gross sooner with uniqlo undies- found myself changing out to cotton when i got home (12-18mi round trip plus office life). but these i feel good til my 11:30ish shower, then i don cotton jawns to sleep

i guess the moral of the story is different people like different stuff and that’s infuriating.

Uniqlo has their boxers in Supima cotton, Airism (light synthetic), and Airism Mesh (light synthetic made lighter with holes).
