Chainring prices are bonkers.
I noped out of that, found a 65/6600 ring for cheap somewhere. They fit and look ok despite not being flush with the crank face. Pretty sure any 50/110 5 bolt will fit, but as noted it might be more economical to buy a new crankset.
Double that over here, easily. I saw a GRX big ring the other day that made my eyes water. 259$
Are these like hollow-forged chainrings or something??
The 6750 ones are specific to that crankset, have fancy bevels or whatnot to sit flush with the crankface, and bolt on from behind. Normal ones fit fine but look a little odd.
the path is to reuse arms with a cheap narrow-wide 1x chainring
and to buy new shifting chainrings included with a whole lightly used takeoff crankset from some other clown who converted to 1x differently
My GF has look pedals and the cleats are all yellow. She bought like 6 pairs years ago and just ran out
Which leads me to suspect that they arenāt Keo but maybe they are?
And in fact I canāt find yellow Look cleats at all
Any thoughts? Is there a pre Keo generation of pedals that I should look at?
Step 1: throw look pedals away
Step 2: buy shimano spd-sl pedals
I donāt think Look has ever used yellow. Thatās been a Shimano color.
Look cleats have always been red, black, or grey.
Maybe, I seem to remember the base part was also yellow
Oh well guess I will LOOK when I get over there
Plot twist: they are Speedplay
Speedplay FROG
My favorite commuting/touring pedal
Iāll be in the only frogs thread.
I never smashed my teeth out when I used frogs. But I both deserved to and felt like I would any time that I did a cyclocross dismount.
honestly surprised no one has posted those yet in only frogs
unrelated, but i just wanted to also state that the area around my house is completely infested with earwigs so if you could call you bros off that would be great. very tired of finding earwigs crawling on me or my clothes.
Free standing bike repair stands have gotten pretty cheap ($50-80) now. Anyone have positive experiences with them yet? $200 for a park one was always just too steep for a ānice to haveā
Gawdang. Since posting this, not only was I gifted a pair of these wheels, but for the last 3 weeks i have been sorting incoming gear at my local coop, and this turned up. Could be the one. My buddy who I was enquiring on behalf of still hasnt sorted his wheel.
Thatās a mavic campy freehub body fyi
ha ha. Thank you !
I just noticed a different bevel on it too.
