Did you just ShartQ?

And all their wheels are 700c?!? :colbert: I’d be buying one RIGHT NOW if they made a 26” version! Their 29er wheel is exactly what I want but 3” too big!

The wheels Universal has built for me have held up very well. I put about 8 kmi on one set of 28h DT 460/350 wheels before I sold that bike.

I keep waiting for the Race Face wheels on my big MTB to die.

I’m >100kg and 24h wheels have been fine, granted they’re 50+mm deep ones so that probably has something to do with it

Have you thought of going the 48h tandem wheel route?

Stopped, or stops? There still are dt350 32h.

They’re cracking because they have so many holes in them!

The 32-spoke 350’s are still being made in MTB hubs, and road QR hubs, but not in road/gravel through axle / disc. Those are limited to 24 and 28. Check the product selector for yourself.

When I rebuilt the Vaya wheels when I moved to TA, my LBS said ‘they’re stopping production so I grabbed some of the last ones in the channel’.

I look at wheelsets in the local classifieds and I have yet to see any type of wheel with more than 28 spokes. Discouraging

Time for some 144H wheels

This is very much the way, especially with disc and carbon rims

SQ: theoretically, if I was gonna build a TAF front wheel for my bike, which rim should I pick?

This one:

Or this one:

the only answer is to get both of those and put the white/magenta in the front, and striped in the rear.

you cant put up those two amazingly tarck rims and be like “pick one”

… unless of course your current rear is already very wacky. if you’ve posted it, i have not seen it, and i apologize.

My current rear is an extremely boring black Alex Adventurer 2. This is the 20” front wheel for my cargo bike. The rear is 26”. I had two less boring green ano rims crack on me. A Velocity and a Rino Lite.

The red one is going to be a lot more visually conspicuous when it’s spinning

Maybe it’s time to try another RinoLite out back.
