I actually get questions a lot about the rack I use for my Wald basket on my Trek, which is actually the factory stays that I’ve successfully reshaped twice following a crash.

lizard skins wears out too quickly to justify the price for me (even at shopbro price). i don’t think i actually love any bartape so i usually just get fizik 3mm and wrap it tight enough that it’s like 2.5mm

Can I build this from OTS parts for less? I don’t know any good sources for gauges in Germany tho. I want an accurate gauge but trying to not battery.

If you have cantis, then get a canti post rack like this one or equivalent, then zip tie the basket to the rack.

My 139 + that rack makes me happy every time I use it, which is almost every day.

I might? If not, Alex Wetmore has it because I sold the bike to him. I’m almost certain he replaced it with a normal seatpost - if he has it still it’s in a bin of random crap he hasn’t gotten rid of yet. He wasn’t impressed with it.

Does anyone have some insight as to why my NFE with the lugged crown fork won’t fit a Tubus Duo? It says in Elephant’s literature for the original stock release that it was designed specifically for it. Did Tubus change their design?

I’m thinking I might have bent this rack open a bit to fit it on a previous bike. Some squeezing seems to have aligned the holes.

Having bad thoughts about buying a cheap Breezer commuter. Thinking through potential fit changes, how terrible is it finding potential replacements for 9/8" quill stems? Is the best bet just to get an adapter and just run a threadless stem?
