A 4 bolt Ultegra would look mighty fine on that bike.
Uses regular old hollowtech BBs, slighly narrower tread, gives the option of fitting tinier alpine rings & steel spindle.
Iām using 50/34 on my RS500. Theyāre the 105 5750 rings, but they work just fine.
This is such a nice feature, to have an almost completely flush bottom bracket which outlasts everything else on the market by an order of magnitude
Yeah all my CK bb has to do is last through my, my childās, and her childās lifetime to be price competitive with a $30 DA bb.
Spoiler alert: it wont
Iām getting tired of my front shifting failing to get into the big ring (rival 22 yaw pusher / ox901d spinners), can i throw a non-sram pusher on there, and if so which one?
Every time i re-tension the cable it works for like two weeks and then it wonāt go big anymore. My work, and a shopās work, then my work again.
Something is fucky. Iāve had nothing but good luck with a Rival22 Yaw shifting 46/30 crappy IRD rings on my own bike and overall solid results with yaw pushers in general⦠If it works for two weeks then something starts getting messed up itās not likely to be the derailleur itself.
You can throw an older Shimano pusher on there but if youāre running a wider range cassette you may actually get issues with the chain hitting the roof of the derailleur cage when cross chaining Not a big deal, but annoying AF.
If you have not already, throw a fresh run of housing and a new cable on it, start over with the set up and grease the cable fixing bolt/washer. Those are prone to crushing and twisting the cable if run dry.
Thanks, I replaced the cable this time but it does look like itās getting fucked up by the cable fixing bolt like you mentioned. Iāll try another new cable and make sure the bolt is well lubricated.
Iām running ox901s with 11-32 ten speed with a gx rear and a 6400 FD with force zero loss shakes. All is good apart from extremes but itās not a slick shift like a proper Shimano pairing.
Would like to try a yaw mech.
Thanks for this #bicyclesecret
i hate setting up yaw pushers but once set i rarely if ever need to do any adjustment. i just adjust them so infrequently that iām always rusty. usually takes me 2-4 tries but i rarely ever touch the inline adjuster after using it to dial tension. and yeah that fixing bolt likes to fuck shit up. maybe thereās a hardware hack to be done there? because doing the simple, effective thing (what braden suggested) just seems too plain and trouble free and easy.
Whats a good set of 29er wheels 6 bolt
Oh shit back is qr and front is maxle? Is that still a thing?
How good?
JBI probably has some solid/cheap machine built jammers.
Or DT/Hope to whatever the current fave alloy rim is.
Not that good ~200
If youāre running tubeless, is there any practical reason to line up the labels with the valve stem? Other than aesthetics.
Got a shop hookup or work at a shop? If theyāve got a JBI account youāre golden.
Is there any reason thatās more important?
good point
No, not anymore
