My boring q is what is the best folding bike fixing stand to buy? Should I just get a park?

Feedback kicks parks ass

Is that the one where ya gotta take the wheel off? Cause I ain’t into that.

No wheel removal necessary.

Can be used to fix folding bikes.

i absolutely hate the feedback head mechanism but wouldn’t mind it as much for home use as i did for bike share use. either way the stand is fantastic and i hate the ratchet with handwheel closure.

i have a 10 year older park stand that a former coworker sold me for $40 so it seems like a fantastic value to me!

What everyone else said. Get a feedback stand. It’s easy and light, stows nicely.

Cool. I will. It’s gonna spend 99% of the time folded up in my folks’ garage anyway.

I gotta pull the bike out of its box. Maybe a week or two?

What’s your current fork have in terms of eyelets, blade size?

That guy’s brackets are simple flat plate that bolt to the bottle bosses and then have a third hole for the rack to use. That third hole is offset rearward of the fork blades, so a long bolt and spacer can be used.

Does your fork have at least double bosses on the legs? If yes then you might have a chance. The brackets could be made with hand tools, and the rack hole could be forward of the legs rather than behind if it leveled out better that way (or if your blades are too thick).

Hey I got some zetas. They’re a killer wheel for the money and seem to have held up well. I also have a good buddy that worked for ritchey for a time and has several sets that he’s ridden a whole bunch. They’re no spectacularly fancy or sexy but they just work and there’s minimal stupid proprietary stuff . Plus they’re hand built and come with a nice little card from each wheels builder about tension and stuff.

For an off the shelf wheel set in that price with the specs they’ve got they’re a perfectly safe choice that is hard to beat atmo
