Did you just ShartQ?

Not sure I agree with these being called “problem solvers” but you may as well put in a bulk order

Could you get one of those with like 5 cable pulls that immediately lock up the wheel

I mean what is the point here

Not only can you shift with one but you can also brake with a stick

WOW. That looks like a remarkably stupid solution for all sorts of reasons, including extra rotating weight, risk of the cable popping off if poorly adusted, cable wear, drag…

first time I saw these working as a wrench I said they are dumb and replaced the whole brake system with regular housing and threw the original stuff in the trash

customer came to pick it up and was livid, I wasn’t there but we ordered replacement stuff and I took the work order to replace them factory correct for custy

I think it should have one lever that controls all the brakes, front and rear together. A string of like 8 cable doubles all strung together.

Imagine the hand strength you’d need to work that lever

I’m envisioning some sort of multi-cam or pulley system to add some mechanical advantage to the system.

Modulation? Who needs it?

Lever that operates the lever

Probably just need a lever/master cylinder from a motorcycle

THANK YOU! This would have been 10+ years ago when I saw it, and I had an even more-faded memory that the bike had some sort of auto-shifting or other drivetrain goofiness as well.

Don’t forget to use your steel singlespeed/fixie ring as a disc brake.

*edit, somehow missed the post above which beat me to this

Front drum
Cantis on front of forks
Calipers on back of forks
Disc acting on chainring
Vees on seatstay
U-brakes on chainstay
Tandem drag brake on rear hub
Fixed hub

Sorry to derail brake chat. Wife decided to keep testing clearance between her dropper post and butt rocket, resulting in this;

How should I repair? It’s got liners that I think are sewn in so machine is out I think? I’d kind of like to attach something there more durable, like an ass saver material, but how to attach AND make it look good?

could use cheap thin cutting board material

hole punch around perimeter and whip stitch that to the saddle bagger

Ya, epoxy some of that on.

an option would be to sew on a perimeter pocket/sleeve that’s open in the middle, into which you can slide in a replaceable cutting board or coroplast piece

Is there a type of epoxy that sticks well to cordura? I will look up exactly what a whip stitch is, sounds like the ticket.

You’d want a flexible adhesive, you might be able to get some kind of iron on interfacing
