Ding on downtube?

About to buy a Trek T1 to replace the leader, but the dude who’s sellin it said it has a small ding from shipping. The ding is smaller than a thumbnail but i’m still not sure whether or not it’s structurally sound. Dunno if I should jump on this or not seeing as it’s a pretty good deal x my size x low use collabo.

Here’s a pic of the ding:

Thoughts?

EDIT: shit, I meant seattube

seems kinda like a non-issue to me but iunno maybe ask some sort of intelligent folks

i mean i know you already asked but you know., they can answer. not me.

if it were structural i imagine you’d know when you inserted the seat post. I’d ride that and not worry about it personally

when I said structural I meant was it something that would cause the tube to fail

I know that. And what I’m saying is that it’s most likely fine

i’d ride it.

thats $40 off asking price

I’d ride it. Wouldnt buy it though.

dammit. i don’t wanna sell the leader before buying a new frame cuz i don’t wanna be out of a bike.

I know people say differing things about bending metal back, but seat tube would be the easiest tube to repair atmo.

ahh it already got sold. shame, i love how they look.

might be getting a bareknuckle frame soon. anyone know if a pista concept fork will be compatible with it?

there’s a guy around here selling a frameset for $500

ROFL

just keep your eyes peeled, these things always seem to pop up for decent priced (i’m guessing this is the one sans wheels for $350-400?)

yeah its the one on sf craigs. fortunately they seem to sell for relatively cheap compared to other track frames.

i’m not sure about the bareknuckle, since the carbon fork he’s selling it with has a ginormous scuff on it, but i’ve found a few frames on ebay that might work well.

would rather buy locally tho. wish i could find a sweet deal on a noice frame but sadly 95% of all track stuff on CL is either fgfs stuff or just shit
