Do Open Pro CDs end up machined silver from your brake pads?

Pretty simple question.

i want to say yes, unless you use the ceramic pads. i had OPCD’s on an old bianchi that were self-machined after the years.

Yes.

CDs aren’t ceramic rims, they’re hard-anodized.

I ran a CD in the front, and it was starting to show some ware after about a year, but it was still a hot looking rim.

yeah, i knew they were hard anodized, but i thought i had heard that ceramic pads cut down on wear. or something. shit, now i’m confused.

That may be. I just had my stock answer ready, since I was always explaining it to people when I was using CDs.
