Anybody round out their square crank tapers? I’d like to see how much rounding it takes to ruin them.

I don’t have any pictures, but it doesn’t take much. Once they start to deform you usually have a harder time keeping them on the spindle. If you are having to re-tighten your crank bolts more than once-in-a-great-while odds are the tapers are damaged.
Just a tiny tiny bit and they’re ruined.
I Put a deformed crank on a new bb and within a week it was creeking every time it was weighted.
It was only barley visibly deformed, but I had to get a new bb.
