^ will do the bidding for ya! All you nneed to do is enter in the item number, the dollar amount and time you want your bid to go off (ex: 5 secoonds before the auction ends). It’s never failed me before; just set it and forget it!
A couple of years ago there was a ridden once Gunnar frame with phil /open pro wheels, campy crankset, and some other niceness that went for $400 with one bid. I forgot and it still burns.
Steel look track frame… one of the few bikes on my permanent want list… went for $850. Had the money… got distracted by my idiot friend.
Look kg486 track frame… $1600… again had the cash. Fell asleep.
Not an eBay deal, but I’m too broke right now to buy an early 90s Masi Gran Corsa in my size, for $300. It’s not a killer mind-blowing deal, but I would really love to own a Masi, even if it’s a Gran Corsa and it was built by Bilato, and not Masi.
Oh, similar deal on a local craigslist bike. Didn’t jump on it, now he won’t reply… I assume sold. It was cheaper, but had a stripped cog… still SS usable though.
Don’t those retail for $550? Not to mention that 2008 Pistas and on are basically nothing more than road conversions since they no longer have “track” geometry. I say you missed over-paying for a mediocre bike, not a good deal.

Tarckbear does not want me to own a Look.
what size? theres a fucking GORGEOUS kg381 (i think) road f/f on serotta forums for 850 right now
A. Thought they had tracky geometry (don’t know much about it really)
B. Retail is more like 650-750 depending on where I look. Maybe I don’t know where to look.
EDIT: I’m finding geo charts that show '09 with headtube of ~72, and '08 and before with ~74deg
There was a Gianni Motta road frame in the stars and stripes motive (matched my track bike) in my actual size (59) that had a buy-it-now of like $400. I couldn’t get my phone to jive with the bid screen and in the time it took me to get to a computer it had been sold.
That still bums me out.
Also an 80’s Pinarello cross bike… complete for $550 or something.

Same thing happened to me with a LeMond! It was the road version of my track frame, even painted in the original team-only colors, unique to only one shop yet found halfway across the country. I was moving at the time and couldn’t afford the $300 that it eventually sold for.

pardon if you’ve heard this, but some of you guys don’t make it over to off topic:
bid only lowball bid 2 hours before end, then had to go back to work.
checked it later, somebody sniped me!
I was totally pissed somebody got record carbon levers for under $30!
bitched about it for 2 days!
a month later, Mrs. Viking gave them to me for father’s day!
she thought I wasn’t going to bid/ had forgot, and set up her own ebay account just to secretly buy them!
/win
what a keeper
