eBay deals you missed because you were broke/forgot to bid/any reason at all.

I’ll start.

(Broke/Forgot)

Holy crap that’s a good deal.

Someone on the local CL was selling a killer handbuilt pair of DT Swiss 7.1’s/DT Swiss 370 hubs for like $190, and I’m sitting here with a college payment and a broken tooth.

I would buy dlife’s stem right now if I had any money. Sigh.

If dlife was a good dude, he’d just give you the stem for a plate of cookies.

IIRC (and I do,) you have a stem I can’t afford that you should be giving me for cookies…

It’s on the Cross Czech now. You can send me cookies anyways if you like.

Last year there was a wheelset… Thought I was too broke, but in the end they went cheap. I should at least have bid.

i got a goorch… of course i want to build it w/ a modern group, but, still, these are damn sexy

How many hugs and smiles can you fit in a box?

I would still be kicking myself over not bidding/not having the money for this one if it wasn’t a couple cm too big for me…

I was watching that guy’s auctions, and his keirin frame sold for like $250. I couldn’t believe it could be that cheap.

It’s because the frame was damaged in a front-end and possibly toast. Previously, I saw NJS frames go like that for $300-350 area on blogs or eBay. I sold my damanged Anchor to a friend for somewhere around there, and he eventually sold it on eBay to some guy in Europe who paid a good $180 of shipping on top of $500+ for the frame when it was clearly marked as damaged in a front end collision, with pictures of said damage on the DT/HT junction. Blew my mind. He even left positive feedback.

forgot to bid on a time fork. it went for $60.

pardon if you’ve heard this, but some of you guys don’t make it over to off topic:
bid only lowball bid 2 hours before end, then had to go back to work.
checked it later, somebody sniped me!
I was totally pissed somebody got record carbon levers for under $30!
bitched about it for 2 days!
a month later, Mrs. Viking gave them to me for father’s day!
she thought I wasn’t going to bid/ had forgot, and set up her own ebay account just to secretly buy them!
/win

HFY. Props to Mrs. Viking.

fuckity fuck fuck.

i forgot to bid on a pair of 8 speed campy brifters and they sold for 38 bucks.

$1200 shipped for a 56cm Nagasawa in Nakano red, full DA group, no dents, found it with 45 seconds left on the auction and didn’t have time to login/bid. It was the same seller that Rusty got his tarck Bridgestone frame from.

Also $300 3rensho TT w/ full DA AX group because of a hot dog
