EighthInch Scrambler Group Buy

Just got my scrambler in the mail  details later

gRR!! I want my frame!! I busted a frame at polo last night…waiting waiting.

It came with fun little surprises too :stuck_out_tongue:

So does anyone know how much it usually costs if i want a headset and bb installed at a lbs?

WOOHOO!!!, just got my frame, and 2nd for the little suprises.

it’s like christmas in august. the misses is quite happy.

living far away = not so lucky

fuck I hope it comes tomorrow… I’m actually off

in for reveal of surprises!

these frames are ugly. I hope you are all using them as polo bikes.

thats the plan…

or a campus bike i won’t be too heart broken to lose

Mine will be an everyday commuter, with clip-on fenders coz nasty weather.

Frame looks great, can’t wait to build it up. Only complaints:
-The fork wasn’t sufficiently wrapped up and secured, and the steerer tube scraped some paint off the top tube.
-The plastic spacer that goes in the rear dropouts was loose in the bottom of the box. Maybe it should be taped in place?

Weird that you included a copy of Cog (which I had never heard of before), then the same night I go to Milwaukee Bicycle Film Festival and see people from Cog. Also saw a brand new complete Scrambler in white (like mine) locked up outside.
i’m gonna have to advocate using real fenders and just modding them if you have to. chromoplasticssssss

They’re the Planet Bike fenders that attach to the seat stays and fork blades with thick-ass rubber straps instead of bolting on, and they don’t pass under the fork crown or brake bridge (I’m pretty sure). So they are real fenders, just not quite as long as the full coverage ones and not so permanently affixed to the bike. Having ridden a whole year in Wisconsin with full coverage fenders, I’m fairly certain these will meet my needs.

Ya okay.

thats the plan…
Having ridden a few winters in Wisconsin I can safely assume we have similar needs. These fenders…do not meet them.

If you can fashion something that goes down the length of your seat tube you will benefit greatly from it. Other wise expect your heels to be covered in an icey mess.

so, i got my scrambler over the weekend. not sure which day since i’ve been out camping and just got back. frame looks decent enough. a tad heavy but we all knew that. it is however a bit scratched up, either from random acts of violence or shipping. if i was the type to care about such things i might be mad. being that im not, i could give a shit. all in all good deal thanks 1/8thinch.

and it looks like it barely fits my rando 28s on the fork, i dont have anything smaller than a 35 tire to try so i can’t tell you the max.

i can do 35 on the back.

Glad everyone is liking the Scramblers. I saw a few comments of scratches and things. If anyone gets their frame and there is anything concerning them just send me an email and we can work things out.

ENJOY!

Still waiting on mine… I’m hoping it comes in today.
