Endpoint bikes thread

I don’t know about that. I’ve never been inside you.

Um Heath? Ignore is broken. I just checked.

I’m regretting wading into this already but here goes…

New guy: Your bike is going to be rad I’m sure. The wheels are going to be great and I’m looking forward to building them next week. But here’s the thing… despite the foolishness of this forum at first glance it’s a solid place and played an integral role in the development of your new bike and the Endpoint brand.

Coming in here and engaging in obvious trolling of this type and magnitude is not only irritating but really does fly in the face of the ethos of the Endpoint and FBM brands and what this collaboration means to those directly involved with it’s design as well as the core of the Endpoint customer base (a large percentage of whom have some involvement with this forum).

It would be helpful if you just took a deep breath and realized that not every build is going to be to your liking. I know that eventually someone is going to kludge one of my bikes with some Velo Orange Crazy bars a ISM saddle, and some genevale shifters. It’s going to make my skin crawl every time I see it and people on here will mock it but whatever… it’s just bikes.

Don’t like his build, that’s fine. Say you don’t like it. Nitpick away. Crack jokes. But do me a favor and tone it down a notch so everyone feels better about things.

Sorry, Braden.

I really am sorry. I have the highest respect for what you’re doing.

And Tarck: sorry to you, too. I don’t regret cracking your joints, but I don’t want to make a stink about Endpoint. Ever.

lol

does this mean you won’t sell me his bike?

I think new guy is forgetting who the real enemy is: NFE builds on the Elephant facebook page

also, tarck is about being a giant asshole with a heart of gold. I lulz for the giant asshole part, but stay for the gold.

You have to buy the wheels too.

He’s going to hate seeing my take on anodized components…

does anyone do frame pump anodizing?

I probably will too.

Anodized MUSA framepump to match my MUSA CK headset and Paul Klampies?
Look dude, I’m not going to call you out on this — OH HERE IT GOES

You bought a CKH at the shop on a whim. And that’s what you’re using on a purpose-built small-run bicycle from FBM and an American designer.

I mean seriously that is totally up to you, and if I want to make fun of you for doing this, that is totally up to me.
It is confusing the hell out of me, how you can see any problem here, fng.

I just don’t see why you wouldn’t take advantage of the deal on Token headsets with a roller-pin bearing. I’m planning to use my HG like a classic randonneuring 650b tourer with big panniers on the front. I mean, that’s sort of the way the bike’s designed to be operated.

It took me about 30 minutes to figure out that Braden was already offering the right parts for the bike. He didn’t just design a frame/fork, he designed a bike.

so embarrassing, big panniers are totally off trend.
Get a big saddle bag atmo.

that’s a Token needle jammer in there.

Fwiw they have been discontinued by Token so expect to see plenty of bikes without.

I’m using the proto fork still with zero shimmy in a King inset7. So there’s that.

Plus that new Cane Creek viscoset upper looks interesting.

I don’t have a vehicle. For me this is bike lyfe and big panniers are the back seat.

Folks want options yo.

I’ve never had any trouble using ordinary headsets on lowtrailbro frontloaders and the only token headsets I could find were gold or red and fuck that noise.

Also, did this new guy say that his Endpoint build is gonna be $4000?
I just paid retail for a King headset and my build isn’t gonna be even close to four bongs!
