First Fixed Gear?

Really, I don’t think riding without brakes is so awful. I mean why do we ride track bikes on the street in the first place?

They aren’t faster or more efficient in any way (riding off track)… the answer always just comes down to… “zen”.

I believe riding brakeless adds to my zen.

That being said I have a very awesome (light) bike and everything is much easier to do on it then on a steel conversion. It is much easier for me to skid on my very light (sexy) aluminum frame/carbon fiber fork bike, and so the cost of going brakeless is less than it is for your average hipster.

I’m an above-average hipster.

Also, might I suggest getting a dura ace hub.
Aren’t you the guy who keeps stripping hubs?

Get a brake. You are a danger to yourself and more importantly others without one.
I’m a danger to others without self?

the antecedent of that sentence is clear, numbnuts.

I think you’re neat.

Does no one else feel like we just got trolled hard?

This happened to me once at a brothel in Mexico

something looks off about that hub

Rusty’s been posting coaster brakes all day.

Bans all around please (including me)

Fuck it!
Shut it down!

Nothing to see here, move along citizen

I found an old Peugeot street bike today on consignment for 100 dollars…

It’s in great condition, how much would it be to convert it to a fixed gear?

why not!

what the hell i could get the brakes removed or keep them on…

fixed gear is because of the sprocket setup and chain wheel, not because of the braking system i believe

No, I’m pretty sure doofo’s right. I didn’t read what he said, but I’m pretty sure anyway.

he said an old peugeot road bike couldn’t be converted into a fixed gear

Oh, that’s science fact.

He’s right.

well i know it can be done I just don’t know how much it will cost and would like to know before I buy it.
