sorry off topic, but just in case anyone wants to know why vegans don’t wear wool.

peta is such a crock of shit. I havent actually seen that video, but I’m incredibly hesitant to watch it, because PETA is such a waste and now it’s become in vogue to be involved so it’s basically a giant name-drop festival which does little but offends people and creates hate for the veg community. They don’t educate, they don’t support people they just slander industries wantonly.
I totally do that!

caus pink said so?
PETA is fucking bullshit. So is Greenpeace. Both get an Official Tarckbike PITD.
(OTBPITD?)
Someone make up a seal and let’s start handing 'em out.
the other day some dude in my IA class described greenpeace and PETA as “philanthropic”
Duct Tape works well in Indiana winters, when the temp gets to as cold as -30F. I’ve also used those cheap Totes slipover boots with a hole cut to allow the cleats access to the pedals in the soles.
This is real ghetto, but my friend who had the same problem put duct tape over the mesh.
I think he said it worked, but keep in mind this was in Santa Cruz, which gets really mild winters.

a guy I work with swears by this (totes). He’s been riding in slc for quite some time year round. It doesn’t get too awfully cold here but it’s not uncommon to have snow stick around in the valley 75% of the time December-March.
The only other thing i have to say about veganism you cant beleive everything you hear/see, peta and all of these organizations are gonna take the worst cases possible, use them as examples, and say its worse… theres alot of fucked up shit happening to animals but theres nothing thats gonna stop it, if you dont beleive in it than thats fine and dont support it… What are these animals lives anyways? they eat sleep shit, the only way they benefit to the world is the ways we use them. and they’re not wasted at all, where just using them as natural resources. I could say different if i saw them in person and bonded with them, but i dont have to see that. That is why im an omnivore. If i had to do all the gutting and shit by myself id no doubt be a vegitarian, although ive always wanted to live in the wild like bear grylls.

So can’t you just buy wool from New Zealand?
I’m a vegetarian, not a vegan, but I drew the line at anything you need to kill an animal to obtain. As for the rest of it, eggs, milk, cheese, wool, etc., I try to do my research and get it from humane sources.
I don’t ask waiters if their cheese contains renet, I don’t ask if the risotto was made with vegetable or chicken stock, I don’t flip out if my veggie burger touches somebody’s beef burger on the grill, and generally just try not to be a dick about it. My body is not a temple, I’m just practising harm reduction.
So to answer the question: just pee on your feet. Not only will it be warm, but it will help fight athletes foot. You can’t lose!
