In the year that I’ve had the E bike mid drive kit, it’s been on four or five bikes. 700c and 26”. It’s been a long tail on two different bikes. I think the mid drive kit is the way to go. You still retain all your gearing and if you choose, you can also go belt drive. It Long tail normal wheel base, doesn’t matter.

This is exactly my point.

I’ve had a poor experience with a gen1 Bafang (jerkiness, not smooth “kick on”). I’m assuming that they’ve only gotten better.

Also did y’all miss me saying I want a project? I’d love a new project.
Nothing wrong with the E6100 and people like them because they work REALLY well.

What if that project is making a bb shell and bracket that can be swapped with the steps motor?
