Super light ls button down shirt that is quick drying and doesn’t look like “gear” This
This is probably it, but is a little insufferably affected
that rapha shirt isn’t the worst thing in the world at $90. I am considering one now because I can wear it to work. All the shirts I was buying all winder are these thick knit things that iron up really cool but I am not looking forward to riding in them.
Current plan is to just put some in a locker at work and change when I get there.

Why do companies make a good looking shirt and then screw it up by putting a zipper on it?
I thought your plan was to snag a sweet paisley 70’s polyester shirt from the thrift store? Or is this for another purpose?
When I worked at an adventure summer camp I learned from the aussies that the best outdoor shirts are shitty 70’s polyester button ups. And god damn, they were right. You can spend $70 on some tech shirt that is mostly made for an asshole office dweller that wants to feel like they go outside. Or you can spend $2.49 on a shirt meant for an office dweller 40 years ago and it’s wayyyyyyyy fucking better.
This is what my theory was, but then was doubting it…
Kyle, we need to go on a sunny afternoon beer/vintage/thrift store ramble… whats the best neighborhood you think?
There’s a goodwill and a value village within a few miles of each other in Ballard. I’ve had better luck outside the city though.
Quality is not like Wald but it’s small enough to not interfere with my 40mm wide drops and it will hold up to coats and other small bullshit just fine, I think.
That thing is a stupid piece of shit that will only disappoint all the idiot techbro cyclists who put money into it. The only place that turd belongs is in the “parts you wish didn’t exist” thread.
re: basketChat, thanks for the suggestions. I think i’m going to try out 137 first and maybe still the low-riders for #waterproofCommuteLyfe. Tossing around something like a fuel tank top-tube bag too.
Stompump? Should I throw them $81 and wait 6 months?
I can’t see it working well on any surface that isn’t dry and free of debris. Probably a shitty experience if you don’t have a good interface with your cycling shoe. Most of the problems it claims to solve can be addressed by carrying a better hand pump.
That’s pretty much how I read it. “Instead of spending a few hours looking for a better mini pump, we spent two years engineering something heavier and more complicated.”
But, buy two and you can pump up both tires at the same time!
I was just thinking about how my current rain jacket is too floppy and then you post this and it’s marked down from $180 to $70. I’m taking good this as a sign
