She holds on to the saddle rails.
you needa put on a lil xtra love handles to give your lady some alternate hand positions
I got those
Just need xtracycle now
tc: every time I see/think about thread title, I picture 2 fredbros with hivis beards and shit getting off their xtras and up in eachothersā faces
āWHY U GOTTA GET ALL CAGRO ON ME BRO?ā
āCOME AT ME FRED!ā
^ lollin
.
I got hand positions to spare!
Sicker than fixies, bro.
Awesome.
that was a cool video
All you hippy bike nerds probably blew a load over that video

Truth.
So many loads.
This is the cagro bike thrad after all.

I usually only ride the xtra when I know I have something to carry, but today I rode it just for the hell of it and wound up with a free new antique medicine cabinet and a new houseplant.
In conclusion, cargo bikes are awesome.
Well aware, but that fucking video reminded me of some save the earth, donāt buy new, eat this or that, mumbo jumbo nonsense of the ālove the worldā type . Reminds me of my ex. Canāt stand that shit. Save the earth, but still buying new goods and shit.
Ok, ranting off topic.
TC: want freeradical for raleigh when i get a new road bike.
Yeah definitely agree, but, that lady is badass if she lives at the top of that giant fucking hill and rides up it with her kids in that Bakfiets. Iād be crying like a baby (those friggen Bakfiets make riding an Xtracycle or Big Dummy feel like a Formula 1 racer by comparison) EDIT: She has electric assist. This is a perfect example of when Iām a big fan of electric assist.
The rest I donāt care about so much. Definitely granola crunch going on there, but, sheād probably way cooler to hang out with than the average Kardashabee. And sheās totally right about the part where doing all the normal mundane stuff (take kids to school, go grocery shopping, etc.) is about a billion times radder and more fun on a bike. I feel like Iām getting away with murder, like, everyday.
And FWIW, if more people get into cargo bikes, and out of their minivans and SUVs, then Iām stoked. Iāve already got one family at my boyās school saying they got their Xtracycle because of my example. I always make sure to be real encouraging with people who ask about the bike. Why not. Less cars is less cars.
sheās got an electric assist to get back up
Yeah just picked up on that. I watched the first time this morning with the sound off and was in a hurry. Iāve edited my post. I definitely support e-assist for a bakfiets intended for hillclimbing.

I ride mine everyday for commuting, and since putting on the big apples, I love commuting on it ever more. Too often do I not plan for grocery store trips, so just being able to go on a whim is really nice.
