Gravel bike racing in 2018 thread?

In the lottery for DK200. Regardless of lottery outcome, who on the east coast wants to do the Croatan Buck Fifty in March?

https://croatanbuckfifty.com/

Also… date tbd but a sub 24 hour attempt of GAPCO is likely in early fall if anyone wants to join.

Anyone else doing anything cool in the mid-Atlantic or South East next year?

Come to Michigan an do Barry roubaix with me in April!

come to ontario and do paris to ancaster with rauce and me, also in april.

i might do barry roubaix too, but probably not, because family.

Croatan Buck Fifty sounds rad. I may be riding in the Sierra foothills with an old friend that weekend, but if not I’m down.

I'm pulling together plans for a bunch of long rides / brevets (if I'm under RUSA sanction through a local club) in the later spring and in the fall. All would be starting and finishing in/around Richmond, VA. Gotta get shaped up for 2019 PBP.

I’m in the lottery for dk200. Kinda hoping I don’t get it.

I signed up for the Cascadia Super G. I’m also thinking about the Oregon Coast Gravel Epic, but it’s a week before the Post Canyon Enduro.

You should probably officially join our racing club and we could co-organize this stuff.

I did put on 5 unofficial 200k rides and a 90 mile mixed surface ride after all. Would have been at least 1 more if the weather had cooperated.

Yeah, I’ll get on joining the racing club. Is it just the signup on the Outpost page? I’ve got “start randonneuring club” on my todo list, but it’s one of three dozen things I need to get done, so maybe easier if I just slide into an existing thing and worry bout RUSA paperwork later.

I want to do a couple of 200ks and at least one 300, 400, and 600k over the course of 2018. It would probably be good for my mental health if I did some of these with other people. Posters here are welcome to head down/over (up?) and knock out some rides.

Hoping to do a few of the PA 200ks to feel out the rando scene. Wouldn’t be opposed to a journey south if I don’t explode on the first attempt.

yo gucci- let’s do the feb 200k with @650bae

Anyone else doing the Cascadia Super G? It looks like the weather near Olympia might not suck.

Edit: Recap video is up, even if it’s a promo for FSA: https://vimeo.com/264347408
