Those tires barely fit but they do look nice
front/rear 451 disc wheels:
iām going to put these on my bike friday:
actually maybe not. thereās no call for this king of language.
Our very first product at current company, assembled somewhere in Asia, shipped out with ethernet cables in bags labelled āASSMANNā. I lolled, others were a lot less happy about that.
What exactly makes the disc one ādiyā
FAG makes really nice bearings
Yes they do, use them in my van whenever available.
does that thing cost a decakatu?
weād like more information
i understand that he knows how to do the stuff but that stem gives me the willies. seems like it could be done in some way other than a butt joint
I think thatās the way they do it on BF and nobody has died yet
Also I bet there is something reinforcing that joint, it canāt just be 2 tubes butted up against each other
I will ask if I remember
Does this post belong in āI went for a ride today and here are some photosā? āDamnit: Post your bikeā? Eh letās dump it in the minivelo thread
Some manufacturing engineer budsā quarantine project was getting some extra-cheap minivelo frames made in china, and I decided that Iād build mine up with a combination of extremely-nice-but-unused parts in my bin, and the most disgusting oilslick-ano ultra-cheap aliexpress parts.
The inaugural ride was a 30 mile/3000ft ride to the coast and back for bagels at the farm stand.
everyone was surprised i trusted [gestures broadly] enough to aerotuck on the descent. Tiny wheels with inefficient BMX tires and dummy wide flat bars meant I was only able to get up to ~35mph on highway 84.
apologies to mr ron king cage, your cages are on 5 of my bikes, please call me when you make a disgusting oil slick cage.
So much oil slick the EPA about to declare that bike a superfund site. Love it.
Yeaht thats boss as hell
the bluegreen oilslick for the bar and post really ties the room together
Are there more?
XTR dual control!? STORN.
I love this whole thing. Whatās the plan for the unused left shifter?
Sadly I think neither are going to be on the bike long term. The seatpost is going away in favor of a cheap dropper, and I think I want Jones bars on here.
The left shifter is eventually going to actuate the future dropper lever. I know which pawl needs to be blocked off, but currently debating if I want to expend the effort to figure out how to do it in a reversible way, or just break out the dremel tool and remove the pawl entirely.
Big man, tiny wheels, as it should be
Dunno about those xtr shakes, but I was able to remove remove the pawl and spring on another Shimano shifter in a non-destructive manner.
