Hey, what's your Sundeal?

Thanks
Can’t find it in stock though.

Ended up with a 450mm post from Amazon. Hopefully that and a cushy saddle will get me there.

It’s coming together

Just like always, the big question is, how much post do you actually need in the frame to be safe? The spot that gets me most comfortable leaves about 4" inside the seat tube. It’s about 1.5" past the min insertion mark.

My other option is one of these (plus a shim), which I’m not really bothered by. It’s just more money.

Seems like cheap insurance to me.

@Timarchylime Onkel Jeff has a 27.2 x 600mm

Also here

Not in stock but bike-components has 30.9 x 500

Is there enough material to open up to 31.8? Then you get into Brompton seatposts

I think someone posted the levelnine before. Would be perfect if I could get it.

Emailed a frame builder about a custom To seatpost. Didn’t look much more expensive than getting the bmx seatpost extender and a shim.

Will see what they say.

Hell yes to custom seatpost.

Damn those are looooong. The first iteration of the Neutrino used a 27.2 and it was uncomfortably flexy. Not like ooo nice built in suspension, more like imma break this and have to go to the hospital.

damn im into that polygon and have 0 need at all, so I wont! but cool. reminds me of the hooligan

I feel like mini velos are only rideable for people that have the 30-32" inseam that all pants have.

Was that Jones Chat that was talking about how everyone is a 5’8" male, but with different geometry?

The Katu is/was a perfectly cromulent mini velo for those of us blessed/cursed with long legs. There was still some room left on the stock chairpole for me with a saddle height of 79-80 cm. Pretty sure it had a longer seat tube than either the Sundeal or the Polygon. I never could find anything long enough to make the Sundeal work for me.

I think that was 5’10" with different geometry.

I have one of these if somebody wants it. Back when bikes direct was making these, I bought one of their prototypes. It’s the big blue one in the video.

i would entertain the idea of taking it off your hands

I’ll get some pictures of it it’s all complete. I think I only wrote it around the block a couple times.

8 speed cassette

Double check me, but aren’t the tires mounted on the bike 406, not 451?

The tires currently on the bike are from my wife’s folding bike. I just threw them on there to see if they would fit. I was maybe 9 months ago but those tires will stay with her bike. Here’s a picture of her bike with the Mercier Wheels
