In 25 years they’ll make their goal!
but by then, will the market value of bruce gordon cycles have increased from inflation or just turned to nothing?
Bitter failure. Probably would have made it if it weren’t for all those mean, old, and regrettably still alive old guys on ibob.
“Can you guys make this longer?”
what
is that painted with nail polish? Blood of the first born child?
How does it stay in the seattube?!
“We fixed your bike, that will be $1000”.
“WHAT?!?!?!”
“yes, we replaced it with a new bike that fits and isn’t garbage”

That’s weird because 4 days ago he went through all the trouble of posting these videos with terrible audio:
https://www.instagram.com/650bacon/
Jfc that audio
“Hello-Ello-ello-llo, were-re-re here-re-re withhhhh bruce-uce-uce gordon-ordon-ordon in a cavern-vern-vern”
Holy shit, those videos are high school student AV club bad.
Normalize biking
holy fuck the rest of his instagram is insane. Every caption is a rant about fuck the haters, fuck this and that, etc.
And this question remains unanswered:
Confused. In the first sentence you say you’re raising money to ‘buy’ BG cycles…and then in the last you say “All proceeds go directly to Bruce”.
I don’t get why these folks latched onto Bruce Gordon, in particular, so hard. most of the antics from baconland seem like they’re pretty standard social media attention seeking / brandbuilding, but that one piece of the puzzle’s function eludes me.
I may be putting the cart before the horse in assuming that there’s some strategy at work here.
There is no strategy. If you read some of Evan’s older Medium posts you can see that he basically got bullied by Bruce a few years back and then slowly accepted into his good graces after online shilling for him for years.
Basically he sought the approval of a bully, finally got the approval which (he incorrectly assumes) brings with it inclusion into an elite cycling culture. But now the bully is leaving and taking Evan’s ticket into the club with him.
“Elite cycling culture” oh me oh my. “a few dudes with IG followers in the low, low five digits”? “People who win free pairs of socks at gravel races”?
But man, that story of the Bacon-Gordon connection is kind of sad. I hope those folks do something bike-related that makes them happy in the end.
LOL. I kinda felt like all the PDX art-is-anal framebuilders were some special group until I met most of them and discovered that the whole elite cycling culture was a bunch of people with bad social skills sniffing each other’s farts. I’m pretty much saying that they were a direct analog of Tarck.

Aw man, that thing could be so rad if it wasn’t so bad.
Damnit.
It is rad
It’s the 4 bong singlespeed with a nice paint job that ruins your day
You are supposed to ride the shit out of it and lock it up and use it for anything
It is the bike you already have and love and beat up
