also, apparently my math was off by a hundred, so 538?

Some parts came from past bikes, and got swapped on this one. But I’ll act as if I were to buy everything new again when I did.

Affinity frame, fork + headset - $500
Arrospok $300
Phil Wood to Open Pro, DT SS spokes + build - $320 ish

$1765. If you wanna count the Rolls it’s bumped up to $1840.

Although if you wanna get technical, this frame has seen a few different tires, a bunch of tubes, and a couple cogs. Counting those would bring it up to probably $2100.

In the last two years, I’ve probably spent somewhere around $4000 on bike related stuff, not including clothing.

FML.

Built it with “cost no object” attitude. It was promptly stolen.

I don’t really see what the big deal about a frame being made in Taiwan in these days. At this point, Taiwan has been making frames for 20+ years, and some of the builders have a lifetime more experience than some douche at the NAHBS who went to Bike School in August and turned out his first track frame in September. Given the same material, I’ll take the experienced Asian welder over the hipster bandwagon-jumper.
