local ride called Low Road where we all talk about our feelings, mental health, and eat fried chicken gizzards then ride intown single track.

Crashing in the wet is so much better than the dry, less intense road rash

@featherduster came out to visit and ride pavement bikes, and boy did we ride pavement bikes. Hit a few of LA’s most classic climbs; Nichols, Latigo, Piuma, and GMR + ski lifts. Haven’t done back to back big climbing days like that in a long while. Couple thousand feet Friday afternoon, 7k Saturday, 8500 Sunday. Road bike summer is here!

I love when the whole continent gets warm the same weekend and this thread blows up.

Got into the spandex and did a double tarck century. This was a warmup back in spring 2020, longest ride of the year now tho.

I said I was going back to work but just as I got there Ash called and said that she and Ro were going to a big play place so I blew off the afternoon and went to get rowdy! It’s been a great afternoon!
Edit: now we’re eating ice cream!

Looking hella fit Rudy.

Regularly riding my old loop again. 20ish miles, 1k feet of climbing. Pretty solid post work spin.

Perfect weather for a post work spin through town until 2/3rds of the way in my nds crank arm started coming loose. One leg drilled the last 5 miles home.

great pictures, as always, and I see that we have the same summer style, except I pair my black tank with swimming trunks

It’s that time of year where every ride ends with 17mph headwinds. 70 miles/5k feet totally kicked my ass.

Edit: oh right…pictures

Good news is that my hands didn’t get dirty from my chain! Bad news was fixing a flat on a rim brake bike on a wet day so I still got filthy.

My own damn fault for not clearing my tire from the flat on my last ride.

Also, nice irrigation after heavy rains:

Still nice to be out.

Dry trails, wildflowers going nuts, snow still on the mountains, good times

Old new trail is now getting a new extension.

Pretty wild for it to be so hot when everything’s still green.

Mt Baker just visible on the left. Dorky bar bag exp series tactical bikepacking pouch so I could bring a book lol
