Did the “brisk” group ride today. I was fine on the flats and early rollers. I got dropped hard on the only meaningful climb and then dropped again on the late rollers after a regroup.

I did the STHLM BIKE 2025, ~48km throughout the city. 7:30 am start time, which gave me a fantastic sunrise. And the dude with the sweet Brompton dropped me like a bad habit.

Nice 3.5 hour mountain bike ride this morning.
The tires still feel kind of skittish, so I kept dropping the pressure during the ride. By the end they were hooking up a lot better but also started to feel a bit slow. Not sure where I ended at but I’m guessing around 18-19psi, starting from the low 20s.
Hadn’t been to this side of this bridge since Helene. The road leading to it from the other side of the park is closed off pretty far away so I’ve never gotten a good look. Really hope that this gets repaired sometime soon because it’s one of only two ways to cross this river. The park is effectively cut in half with it being out.
At the trailhead while I was getting ready, a lady asked me about the trails accessible from that location. I told her of a few and she headed off. As I was riding out maybe 20 minutes later I saw her heading back in. Came back to my car and this note was under my rear wiper blade.
I guess she didn’t think that there would be bears in a State forest?

i read this more as a “hey it seems like there are bears here, heads up” which seems a little obvious to YOU but maybe she thought she was being helpful?

Just got back from a WFH lunchtime ride. Some new fun grade 4 trails, and I managed to stay upright despite accidently wearing my reading glasses.
