Inexpensive pedals?

Any good recommendations?
Ive been running a set of Suntour Superbe NJS and theyre killing my feet more and more.
I had some MKS touring pedals that I liked before but they were a little wide, heavy and hot spots galore.

Anything else out there youve used? :bear:

Sounds like you want some GR-9s?

edit- they’re only 21 bux at bens right now. Not bad at all.

MKS Stream is all that I will use with street shoes.

Yeah I was thinking about some gr9s. The stream on the otherhand is the same as the touring pedals I was running awhile back but less wide.
I assume these two are both about the same weight.

Yeah Streams are also rad.

Although, I did end up trading my GR-9s because I have kinda wide feet and I could really feel how narrow they were when climbing. Kinda got annoying.

I’ve been using regular MKS Sylvan road pedals for a while and they’ve been just fine with Vans slip ons.

gr-9s accept double straps? I cant get a good pic of these things.

Yes-ish, there is no slot for a second front strap. But if you get longer screws for the clips, they can act like a second slot. I’ve heard it works just fine.

I will happily trade you some MKS touring pedals for those superbes, Deathhare.

On a serious note, any reason to go for GR-9s over the Wellgo/Dimension cheapie pedal (see http://www.universalcycles.com/images/p … /21882.jpg ), which is under $20? My beloved SR pedals are falling apart like a 20 year old abused pedal, for some reason.

Out of stock right now!

im liking my MKS sylvans with vans

I run doubles on my GR9s. Have yet to find a more comfortable pedal with street shoes. Not to mention that they are kind to the soles of your sneakers.

Odyessey Twistec PC, or iPedals.
