Out of habit, I almost always lock up with my driveside toward whatever I’m locking to so the driveside of my bike is all beat up and the NDS is largely unscathed.

i kinda know that guy. fast as hell.
i came in here to post the word “beausage,” but I see I’ve been beaten.
To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than a well-crafted bike that’s been beaten up by actual riding wear.
i need to do some detail shots of the pista. it would fit in this thread. its far from perfect, which i love.
…then i need to clean the sand and mud out of the chainstay crotch. i still havent given that thing the overhaul it needs. it would look great all waxed up. ive been a bad bike dad.
One of these days I will take some close up pics of my Davidson to show the condition of the paint. It’s still running the original 7 speed tricolor 600. I’m currently on my third wheel build for the rear. It looks pretty worked over, but it’s a great ride.
I did a double century on it a few years ago (aka tarck novemdecuple century). It’s no longer my daily ride, but I still take it out it as least as much as my “nice” road bike. I keep thinking I’ll get it repainted/powdercoated but I’ve gotten so used to it looking beat I’m not sure I could get used to it looking clean.
It’s pretty fun to take it out on faster group rides. It elicits an entertaining mix of snobbery and curiosity from the dentist-on-$7000-Cervelo types.

I’m debating on whether or not my Cross Check is worthy of this thread…

Does that really say “Atmo Atmo Atmo” along the tire? Hah.
Y’all a bunch of posers if you think bikes that “actually get ridden” are in a category of their own. Why don’t you go put some more scratches on your skateboards.
Beatup Cdale tracks look great. They should never be painted over…
the trick is to take a dremel to the bottom so it looks like you’ve been grinding, hard. 11 year old desperation
So… filthy bikes? Let me go find some irrigation ditches.
