Could it possibly be a pre-grip installation picture? no wai!
so you rode through a mud puddle with a shitty fender
I’m sure Misha can speak for himself, but that dude rides his bike every day and it’s been -30 for the past week. Shit gets ridden.
I ride mine a fair bit amount.
bb and ring
Mud? I think not.
I’m just kidding, I don’t ride my bike at all
BREEKS
rattlecan paintjobs are not durable at all
The tread on my gatorskin since christmas I’ve actually only been using this tire for 2 months. I switched the back and front a month after getting them on accident when I got my new wheelset.
well, there are pddles everywhere now that it all melting. Fender works great for me tho, i dont get splashed or anything. My jeans are rolled up and i got a second pair of tall socks on. They get a bit dirty but i have a spare pair of shoes at work or at school anyways, so i always change in this weather.
it sure did stayed -30 c everyday and i rode everyday, i just cant stop riding, haha
As for the bar tapee, i had grips on the lower part at first but i havent desided yet how im going to go about the drops, i dont ride with them all that much, mostly my risers for now, i find them a bit more stable in this weather.
work is boring…
this is the best thread ever.

I think this bike inspired me more than anything else when I was just getting into riding fixed. I found it in the Bike Cult Bicycle Archives. It’s just too badass. It definitely sparked my lifelong lust for an older steel celeste Bianchi
especially that fender
This is my schwinn SS Coaster brake commuter. It was a tough winter in Minnesota, but things are warming up!
Just switched to bullhorns in hopes of nicer weather:

Thanks for your note Stever!
Unfortunately, no that wasn’t me on Bikesnob. Though I wish I knew who it was. There is a pretty big cycling community here via www.mplsbikelove.com but no one has fessed up to it yet.
By and large though cycling has been very nice in Minneapolis. Even in the winter, people seem to be very generous with the road. We just had a few days straight of 40-50 degree weather, so it’s beautiful out.
Antcave!
Haha, it might be a bit embarrassing, but that light is only a $9 Schwinn Led deal I got from Target. It might not have as much class, but definitely outshines the knogs I see some of the folks using in snow storms.
thanks again,
nathan
