so tonight i was mashing down a kinda steep hill which has an intersection at the bottom. the cars were stopped, and itd be like another 30 seconds before the cars to the left and right would go, so i blew through the red light. there was a cop behind a car stuck at the light, he blipped the lights on and tapped the siren as to get my attention to stop. i didnt. i smashed down to the first right and went into an alley. i dont drive down these streets in my car in the daylight, but i was smashing down an alley at night on my bicycle, haha. lost the cop and got away.
One time I was riding my bike and ran over a cop’s daughter. He asked me to apologize and I gave him a quick rabbit punch to the throat because I just don’t give a fuck.
And I’m pretty sure that kjohnnytarr is gonna win this thread for that whole whatever thing that he did.
Cops here are huge pushovers and ignore pretty much everything everyone does including cars. It sorta sucks cause everybody drives like a jackass because they know they can get away with it. I got in conflict with a bus driver the other day though. It was funny because i was in front of his bus and we could see each other clearly through the window but couldn’t hear anything the other was so saying. We just waved our arms emphatically and made mad faces.
i was in a group of seven or eight people one night that blew through a 4 way stop in front of a cop. he threw the equivalent of a hissy fit (“HEY JUST CAUSE YOURE ON A BIKE DOESNT MEAN YOU GUYS DONT HAVE TO STOP!”) but didn’t bother following any of us.
I once got pulled over for not wearing a helmet (not a law in DC unless you are under 16, I know I look younger than I am, but not that young) and for not having a light on my bike, it was 4 in the afternoon.
I think mostly the police was bored because we chatted a bit. My friend that was with me was having a heart attack, apparently she is scared of police.

last night I got pulled over by a cop for the first time!
I was slowly pulling up to a red light at a fairly major intersection(clark & Irving).
A taxi pulled up right on my wheel and honked loudly despite the fact that we were 15 feet from the crosswalk and would have to sit at a red light.
I had the appropriate response of flipping the cabby off and going even slower to further delay his arrival at the line.
When we did get to the crosswalk, he honked again and shouted out his window at me so I rode a circle around his cab and yelled a bunch of shit in his face as I passed his window, completed the circle and shot across the street because there were no cars coming.
I hauled ass for a couple blocks until I came to another bigish intersection (Clark & Montrose) where I had the red again.
I stood at the line for a second and determined that it was safe to cross and I did so.
As I crossed the street I heard a loudspeaker from behind me through my headphones say “Hey tough guy, why don’t you get off your bike and fight!”
I was like holy shit! the cabby’s got a megaphone! and started hauling ass.
Like 2 seconds later the cop car came from behind me and the loud speaker sad “Stop the bike dumbass!”
I stopped and the cop riding shotgun lectured me in his Chicago Cop Voice about how bicyclists were no better than cars and we all think we’re above the law and blah blah blah.
I was just like, “Yep, that’s a very good point. Mmhmm, that makes a lotta sense, sure.”
It was clear that the cop had no legal grounds to do anything to me despite my egregious blowing off of traffic laws.
Then the cop said “GO!” and they drove off.
It was awesome.[/quote]
The night before christmas break starting last semester started with cranberry vodkas with my boy draeger. We waxed ambitious about becoming lawyers so we could drink cranvodkas and wear suits. Ended up buying a 12 pack, already smashed. We tarcked our fixies up to a concert where I had the worst drunk talk ever. My gf got back into town at like 10 that night, so blurry eyed I leg over the handlebars mounted my bike in what must have looked like the drunkest thing ever. Mounting a bike like that isn’t always graceful even sober, but I rolled down the street as a cop rolled beside me “Where you headed off to tonight?” She was blonde with a french braid ponytail and sounded concerned and annoyed with me. “Jusht goin’ to my lady friend’sh playsh.” I slowed down to a snail’s pace, let her get to the stop sign first (one way two lane street) and then pulled up myself, and magically trackstanded there until she took off. Made it to my ladie’s place and she got a kick out of my state.
