To continue this thread, bike is ‘finished’ and now includes fat clearance out back and a set of boinger pokes.
Now I’m making another bike. Goal is a 29er that can share wheels with this machine and is equally at home being ridden in sandals to the coffee shop, getting groceries, and going on quick overnighters.
There’s a couple bikes I’m looking at for inspiration, I’ll post up some geometry ideas later. Not sure yet how shredability and frontloadability intersect.
Basing the fit on my one size too small road bike with flat bars commuters, rear end long enough to easily fit 29x2.6 and a frame pump behind the seat tube. 30-40° swoopy bars on a shorty stem, custom pokes, big Wald basket. 73mm bb shell, boost, 9/8" straight head tube, internal dropper.
