For a windbreaker? Or a jacket?
No pit zips, but Patagonia helium houdini is my go-to. I actually want one w/o a hood to just have as a super packable wind jacket.
windbreaker
backpacker recommended this to me yesterday as something i can try on in person
but was pushing montbell tachyon as something iād love
SRAM bought Velocio?
RMA jokes in 3, 2, 1ā¦
That looks pretty slick. Canāt really make out the pit vents, but Iām sure itās just a vented fabric or something.
Againā¦. I think this is highly personal and likely changes with time. Ten years ago I couldnāt imagine wearing thermal bibs.
Montbell is cheaper ordering from .jp btw. They have stuff in US and Japanese sizing.
Anybody want to start a reasonable bike brand and then sell out in 5-9 years
Back off.
Got Sinyard on the other line there?
Anyone have opinions on mtb shoe covers that are good for all-day wet performance? Iāve tried sealskinz neoprene and they were scarcely better than a paper bag. I think uninsulated or just light insulation, and on the slimmer fitting side would be what Iām after. Lazer_Beige suggested lizard skins but they donāt seem to be available.
I use the P.I. ones, but they arenāt great. They keep my feet from being absolutely frozen, but not much more than that.
One thing Iāve always wanted to try is putting a small hand warmer between the cover and the shoe, right over the toes. Wonāt change the fit of the shoe, might provide enough warmth to keep toes cozy.
I always forget to try it the few times a year I actually use shoe covers.
I have the Castelli ROS ones. Theyāre expensive, but do work well.
PI has a few models, is it the āP.R.O. Barrier W x Bā type that you have? I was curious about those.
Do these fit 2-bolt/mtb shoes? Pet peeve is manufacturer not specifying what shoe they are made for.
I know this isnāt what you are asking for but I solved this issue by buying some Lake winter shoes (not boots) a few weeks ago and they work great, are completely comfortable with thick winter socks, and were not expensive for cycling shoes. They are waterproof and have one vent that can be taped shut (I think, I just left it as is because they are fine with the tiny little vent for me)
Lake CXZ176 (thereās a mtb version too)
