Luxos U Warranty Chat

Can you shrink tube it?

I know I’ve asked before, but nobody’s really seeing the pv9, right?
I should just give up and go with the 8 at this point or I’m gonna be living that Knog/super flash lyfe forever, n’est ce pas?
There’s the sv9 in 32h

Well, dang.
Thanks so much, Buff!

Not quite hubchat, but let me ask this here:

Luxos U or Edelux II?

I like that the Luxos has a charger, but is it actually useful or does it charge way too slow?

B&M IQ X is coming soon!

So sweet. Somehow I still doubt it’s going to outdo the Cyo Premium in bang-for-buck though.

I am loving my SP 9mm axle one. Its was a special Exposure branded deal with the Revo light. Awesome light with an amazing standlite. The Schmidt fall down badly in this department, although I have never heard of a Schmidt failure, mostly cos I only know one person well-heeled enough to buy one : ) There is currently an issue with the SP thru-axle models, and they are redesigning the thing. So glad I got the 9mm.

what’s the issue with the SP thru axles?

My understanding was that the 9mm adapter was too long for a few models, but has since been corrected. Mine spins correctly. I don’t know if there is a separate issue.

I think the bearings on the disc side are failing. I am pretty sure they have stopped selling them and the fix will be available at the end of the year. I am not sure if its a retro fix or they just replace the hub. I know a few people effected by it. It does appear quite random. Some people have no problems, some people, it happens in a few weeks. They are pretty good at sorting people out, but its not good for their brand. Plenty of people used them on the TD with no probs.

I have a perfectly great Cyo Premium with so few miles on it, but it is gonna be SO SO hard to not pick up one of these from euroland at whatever point both they and the 2016 schwalbe 650bs become available…

so my headlight was dimming whenever i used the front brake. found out that it was because the taillight connectors (not connected to anything) were touching and shorting it out.

I like the charger on the Luxos. Not fast but good enough that I really enjoy having it. End up using it on the rollers while my phone plays podcasts too.

derp

Not a hub, but secula plus fender: mine arrived sans any wires/attachments.
What do I need to hook it to a cyo up front?

Whoa, that’s weird!
Did you look in the little triangular box section at the base the packaging?
you need QTY 4 of 2.8mm x 0.5mm female “Push-on” Crimp Receptacles
You can use a couple different wire types.

I would contact the vendor or manufacturer and see if they will send you some

That sucks because B&M recently started shipping some quick connect plastic pieces with the Secula so you don’t need the crimps for the cable to Secula attachment.

Lights. by Alistair Spence, on Flickr

Those are great until you disconnect them and leave them laying around for the cats to gnaw on and deform so they don’t fit in the light housing anymore…

Admittedly this was ebay because it was about $16 for the light and $5 for shipping vs germanland shipping of 20ish. I guess that is what I get.
lulz, it was wrapped in a plastic dog poop size bag, then some construction paper stuff, then a 8x10" box.

Still better than the crimp connector stuck and ripped the male part out of the board when you’re trying to wriggle it loose. I had to crack mine open to fix it.

I’d say the charger is good enough to be worth having.
