This is great!
Thanks
But
What did you crimp with? Solder or no solder? ( assuming none)

No solder, needle nose pliers.

[quote=ergott]Yes. This mount.

Got a K-Edge just for this reason, still have to buy the light though.

I’m gonna order two Shimano dynamos and two IQ-Xs for mine and sups bikes from Germany today. Stoke is high

My lights won’t come on. Something must of rattled loose or broke during the 100 mtb race. I noticed a connector had ripped loose and It happened during the race because I had to use my lights that morning. Redid the wiring and it still will not power on.

Pretty sure my hub is ok but need to check with a multimeter. At least I hope so.

Sound anything like this?

haha currently at work so I can’t hear it but I will check and see tonight. My mom is grabbing me a multimeter from my dad’s house tomorrow so I can check everything

I can’t imaging that it’s the hub.
These lights are pretty fragile.

And the hubs are pretty simple

What connector do I need for my secula to my luxos U? Connectors are only on one side of the wire that shipped with the secula.
Or anyone have some to send along if they are only purchased in bulk?

Doesn’t the secula come with pre crimped connectors on one end and a pair of loose ones to crimp on once you cut the wire to length?

And the secula also has plastic connectors that you can feed the stripped wire through and then push into the light body and onto the connectors.

(IME, may have changed)

If you have to buy them, 2.8mm female spade connectors are what you want for the light. (schmidt hubs use 4.8mm), plus some heatshrink to finish.

2.8mm female spades and plastic pieces shown here:

I saw that pic, but I only had the cable in the package. :frowning:

What? It supposed to come with a little baggie

The Secula I got from bike24 a few months ago only had a cable with it, no plastic connectors or spade connectors included.

That blows, every light, rear and front always comes with enough metal crimp terminals in a baggie to take care of both sides.

Here is where I order my surplus terminals, previously Longleaf Bicycles but now goes by his name: https://anthonykingwheelbuilding.com/collections/wiring-connectors

nb this is documented in the Tarck Approved spreadsheet in #bicyclesecrets.

You can also get a baggie of them from Amazon

I was mostly asking because I only saw larger quantities of them on Amazon, and, well, I only need 2.

I just bought a bag, if you need two peem me your address and I’ll send you a pair.
