I would think that it would help, just because there’s a lot more length involved that way. I also haven’t ever run a magic gear, so I may be way off base here.
I’m thinking of running a ghost ring. The race coming up in Bangkok is fixed, brakeless only. I’ve been looking for a cheap way to throw one together since I’ve only got my road bike here. I had forgotten about ghost rings. But if I can get it to work, I"ll be able to throw a track wheel in the back of my road bike and, with a few crank mods, be set.
Anyone got a good resource for reliable info?
i don’t know what gen it was, but it was earlier this year. it just seems like that design is prone to stretching. the bends in the steel would theoretically unbend wouldn’t they? regardless, it was fucking noisy anyway.
