If I’m rolling through, I will stop… Always have time to hang with tarckers and drink beers
I sent you a pm of things relevant to your tour.
PM sent back!
ended up staying in ft worth, a little longer than I planned, but it has been fun. I’ll be leaving on Tuesday to start back up. Until I get out of the hot and humid TX/OK area, I’ll be leaving early in the morning, and finishing in between 11-1. It is to fucking hot in TX, to throw down 100 mile days everyday… so the plan is 50-70 a day… which takes me to lakes for the most part… I should also have better pictures once I get out of TX
I feel ya on the heat. I did 112 miles last sunday… about 1 or 2pm it started to get demotivating. Like “great, how much hotter is it gonna get?”
~60 is a good number of distance, with time to relax. enjoy it.
how are you choosing what route(s) to take?
Cool man. Keep up the updates.
Also, just found this blog of some people doing the same thing as you. Y’all should hook up. I bet you’d have lots in common!
mapping is kind of a pain in the ass, but I put it into google maps and then modify the route, to make sure that I will be able to stop and get water and supplies along the way. then I load the map into the GPS. I also have old school maps as well, in case if the GPS dies, I can still get to where I want to go
jesus internet assploded from them pics.
Good luck w/ your departure tomorrow bro.

will do, and I know them, they’re from Austin… but heading West… I’m going North. I’ll be in ATL in probably feburary, I’ll have to go and see all the tarckers there and get me a peachtree shirt
Thanks Erik… I’m going to be leaving at three am, it is so much nicer riding in high 70’s to 80’s, then in blistering fucking heat… should be at the lake by 11 to setup camp and charge the solar panels

fucking jealous. not that you will be in atlanta, but that you will be spending so much time riding around the country.
you may want to resize the pics before you post them so this doesn’t happen all the time. Those pics are pretty damn big, and i don’t need to see deer that close on the screen when i can ride and run into them.

Dude, Les, if you know them can you ring them up and give them a few pointers before they die of heat exhaustion?
Also, Feb is an absolutely horrible time to be in ATL. You’ll have a warm place to stay whenever you drop by though.
Les is good people. Get him drunk and you’ll have hours of fun.

Don’t have their number… And I know that atl will be cold, but better being there in feb, then up north in feb. I have some cold weather gear that my mom is going to send me, so I should be okay.
Have her send you lots of waterproof clothing as well (I strongly recommend a full cycling rain suit). Georgia winters = 35deg and raining.
Will do, I’ll look into that before I take back off
lulz, this is true
