Mavic open4 cd seems like an appropriately 80s/90s choice to me ( though my parts knowledge is basically categorized as “old” and “new”, without much respect to era)
Brevets re-anodized in dark grey (to make them look more like the late 80’s/early 90’s Trek Matrix rims?)
I have a pair of nos Mavic GP4s if you want to go tubular fop.
If Mig doesn’t want them, please PM me.
I’m not into tubulars
Fred says I need to get a Brompton
- No. You’re fired
- Couplered NJS 650b Dynamo porteur
#2. Disc brake, or would that spoil the NJSedness?
could still do weird titanium parts and/or a wacky disc conversion on a Brompton
you’d be in good company
turns out there are more of you
def get a brompton
mig, i’ll take your brompton if you don’t want it.
Ok no Brompton for now
Other things pending
Let’s list the collection of obsolete technology:
9mmQR Schmidt wireless
Cinelli alter
DT shifters
Time axs crank
Wickwerks rings
7800pusher
Hayes cx brakes
DA7400 non aero levers
Need: 1” headset, 11sp dangler, traditional 26.0 bars, awzm colorway
oooh…Shaft!
Dq: are there any danglers that will move 11 cogs with a simplex DT shifter?
Anybody
Try it with any of the danglers you’ve got? I’d think it would be more of an issue about how much cable the DT shifter can pull (Shimano 11 pulls ~30mm if the net is telling the truth about how much it pulls per cog as opposed to ~23mm for Shimano 10) than the vintage of the dangler (at least as long as the pulley wheels teeth are skinny enough for an 11-speed link to sit on.)
On day, on IG, I saw a Campy Nuovo record derailer on a Tail Hook Lengthener, shifting on a sram 11-42. Gutted I didnt save it, but I would assume it was a thumbie or a dt shifter.
