i bought mine this morning for $25. it’s a bit scuffed here and there, but i don’t care. $25 for a saddle is a price low enough that i won’t feel bad if i end up not liking it. i only wish it was white. black looks a bit out of place on my bike.
but new, they won’t be cheap. or rather, NOS. turbo’s haven’t been in production for a while have they?
I have a pretty new white one I’d trade for your black one depending on the condition.
probably not worth it. the rear is scuffed, the front logo is faded, there are some scuffs/scratches on the sides. the plus is that it’s a turbo track model.
There are a ton of them out there you just need to keep an eye out for good deals. I got my Turbo Special (perforated black) NOS on CL for 40 bucks a couple years back. Watched one go on eBay recently for more than four times that. Try to buy one locally.
I love anything with a “Concor”-style profile. There are lots of good, cheap knock-offs out there. I’m also a big fan of the Selle Italia Flite, and I love my new Tiogra Spyder that I have on my road bike.
actually the one im on now is ok, i couldnt tell you what it is for the life of me though. its old and simple, and i have no idea what bike it came from.
although i like the slimmer designed BMX seats, and want to run one on my bike eventually.
I would hold off on that one… It appears to have been reupholstered in some random material with turbo printed on it… and it doesn’t even look like a turbo. If it was it would have to be the womens version - it looks too short and fat. I could be hallucinating but I own two and that one just looks wrong.

i had the same thoughts…not to mention its coming from poland (not necessarily a bad thing) and that the seller somehow got ahold of 10 of them.
I put a Selle An-Atomica on my commuter Crosscheck and feels great. So great I might not even need cycling shorts/bibs.
On my tarck bike I have a Selle San Marco Concor Sette Zero. The stitching has a good grip and I like this over the Rolls that used to be my regular saddle of choice.
I tried to like the Turbo, but after like 5 miles it just caused excruciating chafing. Same deal with the Rolls I had, and an Avocet Racer… luckily I got them all via trades and found good homes for them.
If you like flatter saddles, the Flite, SSM Era, and Special Ed Alias are all great. Toupe is awesome too but I use that on my road bike so it might be too unpadded for fixed use (and it’s freaking expensive).
Sure, the one I use is a Koga-Miyata “Classic Aero” saddle. I got two damaged one for cheap from the New Old Stop Bike Shop on eBay, but it looks like all that they have now are good ones for a premium price. FWIW, the two I got, I did so by emailing them and asking them if they had anything cheaper, and they said yes and sold me those, so maybe try contacting them.

Seconded on the Selle An-Antomica, I got one after trying them out at the NAHBS in February and put it on my SS. As soon as I can afford another I’m putting one on my Cross Check too. They added a version with black rivets so it’ll match my Surly perfectly. The Regal I have wasn’t bad and the Selle Italia Flite Gel ( I Think ) on the Cross Check now is ok but not as good as what I’m gonna replace it with.
I’m thinking about a concor light to replace my Rolls, which is too wide in the nose, or the sides are too long and bother my chode, but its comfy on my sit bones. I’m using a flight which is the opposite in feeling from the rolls, I like the flight as it seems to have more positions but I’d like a little more cushion at the back end.
Interestingly it was when I switched to bullhorns or drops from risers that the rolls became less comfy but damn its a beautiful saddle.
