I have a 54cm fixed gear frame with 165 crank I pulled out of the trash. New Guy can have it if he pays shipping.

I’ll take this if it has brake holes and can clear a 28-32 tyre.
I’ll even ride a wheelie on it for you.
A) I have no idea what size tire it fits
B) No fork
C) Pick up in Phinney

If I’m in the neighborhood any time soon, I’ll pick it up. If I don’t use it, I’ll drop it off at 2nd Cycle and they can build it up for a kid to shred around on.
Edit - On second thought, I should probably just donate it if I come to pick it up. I think I’m gonna make a separate post.
I have a low-end ‘70s fuji that I’ve been slowly tweaking for all-road riding. Next steps are to build some (mostly free) 700c wheels to replace the 27s, put on a set of Roubaix 30/32s, and mount fenders.
The frame is 73/73, 65ish rake, 58cm, which is neat for me because I haven’t really ridden low-trail geometry before. Unfortunately it’s also a hi-ten turd, so I’ve been looking into getting a lighter frame to use with the fuji fork. I’m thinking some criteria are: designed for 27” wheels (for ATC + clearance), some nice-ish tubeset, and English bb / fender eyelets / etc. Modern derailleur hanger is also nice.
Any particular brands/models I should look for? I’m pretty light & gentle, so I reckon I could go for a noodle if they exist in this spec. I’d spend $1-200, and I can spend some time trolling for deals.
Should I look for a 56 or 58? 58 gives me a fistful of post; 56 might bring in the front-center but move the front bag a bit further from the steering axis… I’m guessing tarck considers that a net positive?
Vintage Treks are a good bet because 1) even the low end ones were nicely made , and 2) excellent catalog database lets you figure out which ones came with 27" wheels originally, tubing specs, etc.

Rad, I’d just started looking into them earlier (inspired by the good tarck database). thanks!
