I read this as a 150pk of vice grips and just clamping those to cables as cable ends. I was really impressed and confused until the coffee kicked in.
Idk if it’s still a thing but wheelie dudes used to always have a vise grip on one of the rear axle nuts, no clue if it was fashion or function, but I saw it a ton in like 2016
I love seeing them in place of seatpost collars or when they’re kept on already stripped axle nuts.
I can remember my uncle driving his jet-boat with vice-grips, BITD.
He was a hooligan. Still is.
Rigid 110mm boost forks in a couple colors with 60mm offset and rack mounts
Boost is an interesting choice
I love how weird Thorn is. So tempted to try selling them.
I think they went straight from “v-brake posts on the back of the fork” to this?
I was so close to buying a low trail backwards v-brake biplane fork from them years back for a 26 dead ender (which ended up getting chopped up into my cargo bike) but it was forever out of stock, glad they’re still weird.
They did it, the absolute madlads <3
is this new or did i never notice it?
you can flip the brake mounts for different wheel sizes. incredible
This feels like kind of not very safe
patented cantilever launcher
i mean, two m5 bolts can hold a lot in tension
more than one m6 that’s holding your brake on, i’d reckon
I want to make a bike around this fork
looks new to me.
Ehh better put the bosses on the back of the legs to be safe tho
- Thorne, probably
They really missed the chance to go high at the front and low at the back
Only really interesting for us still in deadender 1" threaded fork land, but this thing looks really legit! @JUGE_FREDD can probably chime in and roast if needed. For a small scale thing some aussie bloke sells for 199 prison island dollhairs I’m impressed compared to everything else in the conversion game.
are they actually available again? I thought they popped up on amazon and then disappeared pretty swiftly afterwards…
