I started with gallium and it sort of worked, then heard the trick of using a 1” spade bit and bored it out instead.
tried this once. punched through the seat tube. never again.
Weird, it went flawlessly and even left a paper thin remainder of aluminum on one side. It was probably the cheapest spade bit you can buy, like the kind that come in a starter pack of cheap bits and have the most minimal of cutting edges.

Shimano has also added a short-reach gear shifter and brake lever option known as S-Reach to its Cues 11/10/9-speed line-up, offering considerably better ergonomics to riders with small hands.
The S-Reach trigger gear shifter foregoes the index finger upshift to bring the shifting paddles closer to the grip. The downshift thumb paddle has been moved 12mm closer to the grip while the upshift is 10mm closer. The lever throw has also been reduced by 11 percent, reducing the distance the paddle needs to be pushed to actuate a gear shift.
The Cues S-Reach brake levers have also been modified to accommodate small hands. Shimano has changed the lever position, bringing it 20 percent closer to the handlebar so it’s easier to reach for more confident braking.
U8000 cues looks quite decent, it’s HT2 with a 11s clutch dangler. unfortunately they’re still using the two-piece bonded arm
Cheap wide range 1x8 or 9 from Shimano sounds like a dither dream shartmo. Gonna build the sickest friction thumb shifter hybrid.
Essa pretty good decision by Shimano.
The only drawback here is a certain Youtuber has far less to complain about.

The one next to thiccboi might be one of those ceramic coated ulocks, they eat grinder discs. Thief wont bother with this one
I’m just imaging somebody cutting the rack instead and then riding that thing around with the mega lock bouncing in perpetuity
