Fuck yeah. I mean, it is cool to see neko win something again. I know he tried to squeeze the 29 in the rear of that bike last year, but asa or others also beat him. that’s just a fast pump track of a descent. don’t think they’d fare as well in other conditions.

So, I got the Campandgoslow snake pattern bartape, and I forget who asked about it. I decided to keep the Ergon bartape on the bike longer, so I’m not going to have an ‘on the bike’ review, but I can pass on what it’s like so far.
It’s all woven nylon, instead of feeling like stretchy cork or sticky leather. Flicking the edges of it with my thumbnail it reminds me of the hem of a high quality rain jacket or the seam of a backpack with thin padding inside. Flexible, has some give, and the middle - where it’s basically woven thread - it’s solid and has a texture. But it’s not stretchy.
It feels like it’s going to be quite different from other tapes. Probably a major pain in the ass to install, since it doesn’t have the stretch of other taps, so I’m gonna have to take it in for the LBS to do it instead of me.

Sure, why not. I mean, Asa beat him last year running his bike as stock mullet and Neko tried full 29. So, Neko moved up one rung. With a 120mm fork or something. Nobody gives a shit really.
