Sup’s single speed is a single speed so its only ever in small big or big small. 2x2 never crosschains.

Uh
I’m sorry
It’s either not cross chained or it’s cross chained

The only non-cross-chain single speed is 46+ and 16-.

but you need at least one prime number in there

A non-solution to a non-problem

It’s a real problem - the chain line is out of spec. It’s a questionable symptom though because you have to cross-chain to reveal it.

Looking closely at the components, they are molded (nylon reinforced?) plastic of some sort, and almost certainly developed by someone else overseas(see below, it’s local to the PNW) and licensed by Rodriguez for the USA.

Shift-E™ seamlessly transitions the chain by allowing the chain to climb up or down to the adjacent cog using a swing-gate that is incorporated into the design of the cog set. Our system has been tested to shift smoothly under loads up to 2 1/2 horsepower. This enables perfect shifting with uninterrupted pedaling power from you or the electric assist motor.

Holy shit the BEAST lives on to fight another day!

Here you can see the swing-gates on the (four!)cogs.

Like a switch-track on for a locomotive, Shift-E™ switches gears…

That’s a savvy way to describe it to people, associating it with something known, reliable, able to handle powerful forces.

Reading more, I wonder if this new system is in fact developed by the same Browning folks who licensed it to Suntour?

Edit: OK, yeah it is exactly the same thing. Seems like this recent hullabaloo has to do with the integration with e-Bike components and a brain for the auto shifting.

I would ride the fuck out of that Kona dew.

Whoa, Suntour S1!

I’m just impressed they built a stock disc bike without machined ZAC19 rims
