I am not happy with the Zunow build, notwithstanding the stem. Iām thinking about moving the Centaur group from the Jamis to the Zunow, getting a longer stem and calling it a day. I might also try to do a period-correct build, but the only part of that plan that appeals to me is downtube shifters. Any other recommendations?
^ setback posts only, level the saddle, lower it, ride it and keep raising it until it feels right, get a 110-120mm stem. Old parts in general either donāt work well or are heavy so unless you want your bike to suck Iād suggest modern components. Your bikes suck right now and itās your job to un suck them, Iād start with that zunow.

Nitto Technomic? It has exactly zero bike geek cred, but is still made new in all kinds of lengthways and is finished decently well.

Technomics are heavy as fuck. Do a 26mm clamp stem, ITM professional, most 3TTT models, donāt use cinelli (flex, inconsistent clamp dia), nitto is nice but heavier than 3T or an ITM professional. Salsa and other welded stems will look like dook IMO
