New to Tarck? Post your bike here.

Holy shit new guy applied solid advice with solid results.

yo new guy, next time post this in the real ride thread. I think your ok to leave this one.

Sorry new guy fails due to ride length. Re-apply after 60mi and steerer chopped.

Srsly, I don’t think general yoga is that helpful but everyone’s different. I do find core strengthening exercises help. That long and low position is held together by your core so the stronger you are, the longer you can keep shit together.

So what you’re saying is get a ball to sit on instead of a task chair

damn that bike is pretty sick with the stem slammed

thank you new guy for doing your icon better.

here is mine for reference of what you can accomplish through incremental improvement:

Bros, I think yoga does help.
Used to be a mess in the lower back area after 60ish miles, now I am good up to 150.
Hell I didnt even ride a bike for 4 months, did yoga 3 times a week, then rode 80 miles and felt great.

What studio/class/video do you use?

his wife, his garage

Kinda bummed at my yogi. made me twerk a posish way too hard. My hips were bummed. Had to stand in the store for two days in a row on top of that.
Hoping it’s gone by tomorrow.

CorePower yoga - NW 23rd/Quimby - they do a free first week for new members, and I do a work trade for free membership.
Its “power vinyasa” so its total sweat fest for me, really rad, and feels like a full workout.

Also, yeah, my fiance is a yoga teacher in the same style, so we do lots at home. But nothing is quite the same without that hot ass room.

Wish I could get down with yoga. I could use the increased mobility.

Yoga is so good. After trashing my back wrecking my KLR it was really helpful. I still suck at it and have zero flexibility, but I felt better than before.

Like everything else, I’m always thinking “Man, I need to get into yoga!” I’d probably meet lots of hot girls and see their butts in Lululemon pants, and get flexible and be a stronger rider, but I can never seem to get the ball rolling on it.

sup girl,

I told you I was hella sore from snowboarding. You said yoga would help. I asked when you could come over and teach me. You said wednesday.

Kind of wish you’d said “tonight”, but I’ll still count that as a HY. Looking forward to some sexy yoga on wednesday.

Wrong thread?

I just started a yoga thread!

naterod…lemme right swipe you

i need to get back into yoga

Came here from another thread so I could get my JOD (or JODs). Here’s the bike I do 95% of my riding on:

Everything about it is from the 90s except for the BMX pedals I put on for the winter so I could wear boots. I also have a rusty english 3 speed that gets ridden to bars and a goofball fixed gear that my roommates use to have track stand competitions in the living room.
