@Euphorbia I’m skipping Thursday race night, my legs have been a wet noodle from all the bmx and trails and mtb riding so I took a week off this week to have fresh legs for a Bellingham trip this weekend.
I gotta go cheer on Ira though, so next week!

Good cause we are also skipping… It has been just a lot of travel for us the last two weeks. Also, Ira is peddling his bike now and insist that he wants to ride the whole track so we need to find some time to practice before the race.

I sold the Trail Boss like a dipshit to make room for the DJ (too many bikes in the apartment is still a source of conflict) and kept the 125R, but the more I ride the 125R not-on-the-track the less I like it. Long rear end and high BB makes it whip around berms quick and over long low racers nicely, but not the best on tall booters.
The Fly Motosierra is on close out so I snagged a frame. 3/8" dropouts, “slack” 74 deg HTA, shorter stays, 2" taller standover, and about the same weight as the 125.
Plus apparently I can get an Enhanced ID here in WA so I can drive into Canada without needing a passport so I’m gonna try to get up to the North Shore Bike Park a few times and ride the airbag

I keep hoping Dans Comp will blow out their stock of GT Speeds. My wife would totally kill me, though.
GT isn’t even blowing out the GT BMX bikes yet!
But the carbon Fury DH bike has dropped again to $2400…
When I checked the site before, only small BMX bikes were in stock.

This has been kind of a pain the ass. QC on the Fly frame is fucking awful. Nothing was tapped, the brake mounts are slightly crooked, and the through-the-seattube cable routing is fuckin awful. There’s barely enough room to set up your brakes before the hanger bottoms out; as soon as the cable stretches or the pads wear I’ll have to redo it all over again
Good excuse to buy a T1 frame at some point I guess

In other news, found out the collective sells bmx bikes mega cheap. Saw a nice looking 20, looked like a freecoaster for $100. Thinking I’d buy something like that, sell the 24 and come out ahead
