trying to figure out the best and safest way to ride from NYC to Maryland, baltimore, or DC.
so far, i’ve gotten this from others suggestions:

can’t quite figure out the best way to get out of new york, though.

I’d follow the Adventure Cycling Atlantic Coast map http://adventurecycling.org/routes/atlanticcoast.cfm They have a spur from NYC and it goes through DC. The maps cost like 10$ each and are well worth it so you don’t have to worry about finding campgrounds and they keep you on safe roads for the most part.
